PLOT
JUNEAU, ALASKA | PRE 1700'S
Only a few glowing embers remain from the night's celebration, a bonfire to honor the gods for a successful hunt. A woman sits alone, toying with the lifeless flame from the end of a twig, silence surrounding her among the sleeping bodies of her people. One moment there is no one, and she is looking into the blackness of the trees and the expanse of night and the next there stands a man. Pale, as pale as the mother moon in the sky and eyes as black as the night around them.
Nothing is said and for a brief moment the man and woman stare at one another, bewildered by the sight of the other. He moves too fast for her to scream, and too silently to alert the woman's husband a mere yard from them. Teeth, blood, death and it was done. The girl lays motionless on the ground, eyes glazed over with a pale haze and neck saturated in red. The next morning, when the sun pulls itself into the sky the woman's husband awakens to see his wife slaughtered like a lamb. The blood is dry now, baked from the sun and his tears wash away the mess of red to leave only two punctures, evenly placed along the hollow of her throat.

RETROSPECT !
The Tlingit indians settled in Alaska far before the state passed hands from several countries, and along with these native people another race did the same. Vampires. In a time when human population -- a singular food source -- was so scarcely numbered the predator of the old world was forced to follow behind the Tlingit and it was Juneau, Alaska that they chose to stay. It became obvious that the indians were being hunted when several deaths strung along in the Juneau tribe and despite these the chief of the Tlingit, Kowee, was no stranger to these demons that haunted his tribe. And while none of his people knew it, he had a secret of his own. Lycanthropy. In order to protect his people he changed into a beast more frightening then was thought possible, counter-attacking against the trailing vampires. These push-and-pull battles between the chief and the vampires continued and increased in intensity. Thus, the commonly known war between vampires and werewolves begun and has continued up until 2002.
But the war between these clashing species is not the only thing to have stumbled upon Juneau, Alaska. When rumors began to spread about mythical beings inhabiting the area it drew all sorts of supernatural activity to the quiet little town. Conflict between these contrasting beings escalated and the human race began to notice patterns, began to get curious about what goes bump in the night. That's when the Government was called in.
It was a hush-hush organization, stamped two times over with the 'top secret' label. It's participants lingered, mingled with locals and watched in silence. The supernatural were not efficient in hiding themselves, and all it took was one death, one witness and one phone call to set the ball rolling. People began disappearing, but it wasn't the locals mysteriously winding up dead and ripped apart or drained of blood. No, it was the monsters in your closet that vanished, captured and killed by none other than the thing they hunted. Humans. But that was 10 years ago.
Now? Well no one really knows. There's been rumors about mysterious happenings and there's never been a shortage of men behind sunglasses to make you wonder, but it's just rumor. Who really knows if there' s supernaturals in Juneau?
